As we continue our Drive Through Series, it is inevitable that our journey will take us through dark jungle areas. As children of the Light, we must drive through the challenges of the Darkness. We are surrounded by eerie shadows and sounds that put us on edge. A snake suddenly slithers across our pathway. A big cat is prowling in the camouflage of dense foliage. A wolf pack’s haunting howls reverberate nearby. A chorus of birds calls out from the canopy above. Danger beneath us, around us, over us… danger surrounds us!
Each threat to our well-being engages in deception in one form or another. It is their modus operandi. It is not only how they survive; it is how they stalk and slay their prey without detection.The deception employed by these creatures in the natural realm pales in comparison to the deception of one creature in the supernatural realm. “That serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world.”
In Book # 2 of the Drive Through Series, “DISCERNMENT: DRIVING THROUGH THE DECEPTIONS OF LIFE” The Word of God is our roadmap through the Devil’s deceptive, deadly devices designed to destroy our spiritual lives in Christ. Drawing from the first encounter in Genesis to the last engagements of Revelation we will not only develop a defensive strategy against deception, we will deploy an offensive strategy to attack deception. Spiritual discernment is essential to our surviving and thriving in a world that is wrapped in a web of deception.
